I was lucky enough to visit Scotland years ago. I fell in love with its history and beauty. The highlands are just breathtaking as is the rest of the landscape which is dotted with castles and ancient ruins. One day, with a little luck, I’ll be able to go again.
But instead of my travel log ramblings and as we are celebrating Burns’ Night, I thought I would share one of my favourite poems – A Red Red Rose by the bard himself.
That’s newly sprung in June;
O my Luve's like the melodie
That’s sweetly play'd in tune.
As fair art thou, my bonnie lass,
So deep in luve am I:
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a’ the seas gang dry:
Till a’ the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi’ the sun:
I will luve thee still, my dear,
While the sands o’ life shall run.
And fare thee well, my only Luve
And fare thee well, a while!
And I will come again, my Luve,
Tho’ it were ten thousand mile.
Don’t forget to enter the Rafflecopter to be in with a chance to win one of the great main prizes.

Below is the blurb from my latest medieval fantasy, Rain (alas not set in Scotland).
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the hop.
Nuri is caught between heaven and hell. Two men fight for her love and her soul. The first is Maras, an elemental being who follows the storms. The second is Brother Erebus, a pious monk whose tortured soul is twisted by his desire for her. But Nuri may sacrifice more than her heart when the Church brands her angel a demon. As Brother Erebus will do anything to protect her soul from the silver haired devil, even if he has to crush her body to do it.
